2005 Pleasanton Plan 2025 2.0 Land Use Element <br />2-25 Adopted 07 21 09 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Industrial, Commercial, and Offices <br /> Commercial and Offices (Retail, Highway, and Service <br />Commercial; Business and Professional Offices) - Floor area <br />ratios (FARs) are not to exceed 60 percent, except for hotels or <br />motels which should not exceed 70 percent and for projects <br />within the Downtown Specific Plan area which should not <br />exceed 300 percent. Certain uses, such as warehouses, where <br />employee density and traffic generation are minimal, may be <br />allowed with higher FARs provided they meet the requirements <br />of the Zoning Ordinance as well as all other City requirements. <br />General and Limited Industrial - FARs are not to exceed 0.5. <br />Certain uses, such as warehouses, where employee density and <br />traffic generation are minimal, may be allowed with higher <br />FARs provided they meet the requirements of the Zoning <br />Ordinance as well as all other City requirements. <br /> Sand and Gravel Harvesting - Land or buildings used for the <br />extraction of mineral resources and related low-intensity <br />activities such as ready-mix facilities and asphalt batch plants. <br />No significant development is allowed in these areas. <br /> Business Park (Industrial and Commercial, including Offices) <br />- Intended primarily to accommodate high-quality, campus-like <br />development, including administrative, professional office, and <br />research uses. Retail commercial uses are limited to those <br />primarily serving business park employees. FARs are not to <br />exceed 0.6. <br /> <br /> <br />Sand and gravel harvesting area <br />Community Facilities <br /> Public and Institutional - Any public or institutional use, <br />including religious facilities, cemeteries, corporation yards, <br />sewage treatment facilities, utility substations, hospitals, post <br />offices, community centers, senior centers, libraries, and City <br />Hall. FARs are not to exceed 0.6. Certain uses, such as <br />warehouses, where employee density and traffic generation are <br />minimal, may be allowed with higher FARs provided they meet <br />all other City requirements. <br /> Schools - Any public or private educational facility. The <br />locations of K-12 public schools (elementary, middle, and high <br />schools) are shown on the Land Use Map as well as in Figure <br />6-1 in the Public Facilities and Community Programs Element. <br />Open Space <br /> Agriculture and Grazing - Land or buildings used for the <br />production of agriculture or the grazing of animals. Outside the <br />City limits this designation is applied also to San Francisco
