Housing Element AFFH Survey Summary <br /> <br />11 <br />2.2 RESPONDENT PROFILE <br /> <br />2.2.1 Local Area Sentiments <br />Survey Question Introduction: Please indicate how concerned you are about each of <br />the following items using a scale of very concerned, somewhat concerned, not that <br />concerned, not at all concerned, or don’t know. <br />Answered: 292 Skipped: 1 <br /> <br />The following section asked respondents about several issues in their local area and how concerned <br />they are. The following are the issues analyzed: housing availability, housing cost, climate change, <br />crime and public safety, public education, reliable transportation, homelessness, jobs and the <br />economy, water supply, COVID-19, traffic, and parking. <br /> <br />Table 8 (Questions 5-16) illustrates the level of concern for each of the issues indicated above. <br />Overwhelmingly, the top three “very concern” issues are: cost of housing (85.22%), housing <br />availability (71.92%), and homelessness (60.96%). Additionally, the area of least concern is the issue <br />of parking at 11.68%.
