During the Housing <br />Element update process, staff received inquiries from the property owner interested <br />in converting the property to a residential use. The site is located on a major arterial <br />and is within ⅓ mile of the East Dublin/Pleasanton BART station and I-580 freeway <br />access. In addition, the site is located within Hacienda with a high concentration of <br />office and employment uses in the area. The City has been in communication with <br />the property owner who has expressed an active interest in developing a high-density <br />housing project at this location. The proximity to transit would exempt housing <br />development on the site from parking requirements consistent with AB 2097. <br />Hatching represents portion for development
