Should significant paleontological resources <br />(e.g., bones, teeth, well-preserved plant elements) be <br />unearthed by a future project construction crew, project <br />activities shall be diverted at least 15 feet from the discovered <br />paleontological resources until a professional paleontologist <br />has assessed such discovered resources to determine whether <br />they are significant and significant resources shall be salvaged <br />in a timely manner. The applicant/owner/sponsor of said <br />project shall be responsible for diverting project work and <br />providing the assessment including retaining a professional <br />paleontologist for such purpose. Collected fossils shall be <br />deposited by the applicant/owner/sponsor in an appropriate <br />repository where the collection shall be properly curated and <br />made available for future research (e.g., University of California <br />Museum of Paleontology (UCMP), California Academy of <br />Sciences). <br />Retention of a <br />professional <br />Paleontologist by <br />applicant/owner/sponsor <br />(subject to City of <br />Pleasanton Community <br />Development <br />Department, Planning <br />Division approval); <br />ongoing monitoring <br />Prior to issuance of <br />grading permit for <br />individual projects; <br />ongoing during <br />construction <br />activities <br />City of Pleasanton <br />Community <br />Development <br />Department, <br />Planning Division <br />
