Objective Design Standards for Housing Sites <br />City of Pleasanton - 34 - DRAFT: December 14, 2022January 4, <br />2023 <br /> <br /> <br />b. Buildings with retail or commercial at the ground floor and residential buildings taller <br />than three stories shall be set back at least 10 feet from back of sidewalk. <br />A4.10A4.11 Individual residential unit garages are prohibited from fronting on Internal Streets. <br />Entrances to common parking facilities shall be allowed. <br />A4.11A4.12 Pedestrian-scaled lighting shall be provided on all public streets in compliance with <br />Section A10. <br />A4.12A4.13 Each development three acres or larger should provide a minimum of one significant <br />internal street intersection furnished for social interaction using, including but not limited to any <br />combination of: <br />a. benches; <br />b. short term bicycle racks; <br />c. decorative paving; <br />d. seating walls; or <br />e. tables. <br /> <br />Design Guidelines <br />All Housing Site Development <br />A4.a High branching trees should be planted to form a canopy and provide shade along streets and <br />drives. <br />A4.b Parallel parking and sidewalks are encouraged on both sides of internal streets. <br /> <br />
