RESOLUTION NO. 22-1345 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE CONSOLIDATED GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022 DECLARING THE RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of Pleasanton, California, Tuesday, November 8, 2022, as required by law; and WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in the time, form and manner as provided by law; that candidates were nominated to fill the vacancy or vacancies as provided by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in general law cities; and WHEREAS, the Alameda County Elections Department canvassed the returns of the election and has certified the results, which are attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit A. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the whole number of votes cast in said election are as follows: For Mayor: 28,579 votes which represents 60.83 percent of registered voters; For member of City Council, District 1: 5,229 votes which represents 57.35 percent of registered voters in District 1; For member of City Council, District 3: 7,427 votes which represents 59.58 percent of registered voters in District 3. SECTION 2. That the names of the persons voted for at the election are as follows: For Mayor Karla Brown For member of the City Council, District 1 Jeff Nibert Dean Wallace For member of the City Council, District 3 Jamie Yee Julie Testa Joel Liu
