CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br /> October 18, 2022 <br /> This meeting was conducted in accordance with Governor Newsom's <br /> Executive Order N-29-20 and AB 361 COVID-19 pandemic protocols. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Brown called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. from the <br /> Council Chamber located at 200 Old Bernal Avenue and via Zoom. <br /> Councilmember Testa led the Pledge of Allegiance and provided opening remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Narum, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Absent: None <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> Vice Mayor Arkin requested to continue item 3 to the November 1, 2022 City Council meeting and item <br /> 4 to the November 15, 2022 City Council meeting for more time to review the items. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Arkin/Brown to continue item 3 to November 1, 2022 and item 4 to November <br /> 15, 2022. Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: Councilmembers Narum, Balch <br /> Absent: None <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> City Council <br /> 1. Ratify appointments to City Commissions and Committees <br /> Recommendation: Ratify the Mayor's appointments to various City commissions and committees. <br /> City Attorney <br /> 2. Adopt findings regarding public health related to the Covid-19 pandemic to support continued <br /> virtual public city meetings per Resolution No. 21-1249 <br /> Recommendation: Adopt by minute order the following findings: <br /> 1) COVID-19 variants continue to result in illness (including long COVID), isolation, and <br /> exposure of others; and <br /> 2) Alameda County's Department of Public Health still recommends that six (6) feet of distancing <br /> be maintained in workplaces to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Many commissions and <br /> committees would normally meet in rooms where there is not sufficient space for such <br /> physical distancing due to large membership. <br /> 3. Continued to November 1, 2022 - Introduce an ordinance amending Section 2.04.020 of the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code concerning councilmember salaries <br />
