Approve location for cricket field placement at Ken Mercer Sports Park <br /> Recommendation: Approve location Option 2 for a cricket field at Ken Mercer Sports Park. <br /> Landscape Architect Matt Gruber and Assistant Director of Library and Recreation Michele Crose <br /> presented the item and responded to questions from the Council. <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. The following individuals provided comment: Sandeep <br /> Kolte, Shishir Verma. <br /> Mayor Brown closed public comment. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Arkin/Balch to approve the item as recommended. Motion passed by the <br /> following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch, Narum, Testa, Mayor Brown <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> 13. Consider suspending implementation of the PFAS treatment and wells rehabilitation project and <br /> evaluate alternatives. <br /> Recommendation: Provide direction to staff to suspend implementation of the PFAS Treatment <br /> and Wells Rehabilitation Project at this time, and further evaluate alternatives. <br /> Utilities Planning Manager Todd Yamello and Managing Director of Utilities and Environment Dan <br /> Repp presented the item and responded to questions from the Council. <br /> Mayor Brown opened public comment. The following individuals provided comment: Jeff Nibert, <br /> Jill Buck, Kelly Abreu, Linda Kelly. <br /> Mayor Brown closed public comment. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Arkin to suspend implementation as recommended with additional <br /> direction to 1) Make the item the top priority for City Council; 2) Refer the item to the Water <br /> Liaison Subcommittee to establish a project timeline with activity and task list; 3) report to <br /> Councilmembers after each Subcommittee meeting; 4) Invite Zone 7 to present their Groundwater <br /> Mobilization study at a City Council meeting; 5) Continue promotion of drought tolerant rebates for <br /> residential and commercial properties. <br /> Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Arkin, Balch.
