Objective Design Standards for Multifamily Housing in R-M, C-C, and M-U Zoning Districts <br />City of Pleasanton - 13 - December 14, 2022 - DRAFT <br /> <br /> <br />Section B7. <br />B4.7 Paseos shall be named like streets; and buildings fronting Paseos shall be assigned addresses from <br />Paseos, subject to approval by the City. <br />B4.8 Buildings lining paseos shall provide a minimum of 20% of wall area within ten feet of ground <br />level fronting the Paseo as transparent glazing or windows to provide “eyes on the street” and <br />ensure clear views for safety of pedestrians and bicyclists on the paseo. <br /> <br />Design Guidelines <br />All Sites <br />B4.a Paseos should be located to complement the role of streets in the proposed circulation network <br />and create easy access to sidewalks and trails for non-motorized users. <br />B4.b Paseos should provide easy and direct access to building entries, common open space amenities <br />and visitor parking areas to encourage an active pedestrian environment. <br />B4.c Paseos should visually extend the street into an area for safe pedestrian use, with consistent street <br />furnishings.
