Bi-Annual update to the City Council regarding Police Department operations, services and activities Recommendation: Receive update Police Chief David Swing presented the item. Vice Mayor Arkin closed public comment. 12. lntroduce and waive first reading of an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2238 approving the Pleasanton Police Department's Military Equipment Use Policy and approve the purchase of a command vehicle and crime scene investigation vehicle from lDV, lncorporated in the amount of $1,326,711 Recommendation: 1) lntroduce and waive the first reading of Ordinance No. 2240; 2) Approve the purchase of a command vehicle and crime scene investigation vehicle from LDV lnc in the amount of $1,326,711. MOTION: lt was m/s by Balch/Testa to introduce Ordinance No. 2240 and approve the purchase of the vehicles as recommended with an amendment to include that the Chief of Police may authorize the use of the command vehicle for display at community and city-sponsored events.
