ATTACHMENT#1 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON,APPROVING THE ZONE 7 WATER AGENCY PASS-THROUGH WATER RATES WHEREAS, Zone 7 Water Agency is the City's wholesaler water provider; and WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton purchases treated drinking water from Zone 7 and distributes it to approximately 22,000 residents and business; and WHEREAS, The Zone 7 water rate is provided to the City and is a direct pass through to the City's customers. Government Code §53756 (AB 3030 [2008]) permits the City to automatically pass-through Zone 7's water rates; and WHEREAS, The setting of this rate is not within the control of the City of Pleasanton and is subject to change at the beginning of each year; and WHEREAS, On November 16, 2022, the Zone 7 Board approved revenue rate adjustments of 5.5% per year for the next four years that go into effect on February 1, 2023; and NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. That the City of Pleasanton approve the pass-through of Zone 7 Water Agency wholesale treated water rates to its customers. SECTION 2. That the pass-through of Zone 7 Water Agency wholesale treated water rates to its customers is effective immediately. SECTION 3. That the pass-through of Zone 7 Water Agency wholesale treated water rates to its customers shall end on the next effective date for the pass-through as approved by Council action.
