Ordinance No. 2241 <br /> Page 8 of 60 <br /> EXHIBIT B <br /> TITLE 20 <br /> BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> Chapter 20.04 PLEASANTON BUILDING ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br /> Sections: <br /> 20.04.210 Time limitation of application amended. <br /> 20.04.220 Permit Expiration amended. <br /> 20.04.350 Required building inspections amended. <br /> To conform with requirements in AB2913, Section 20.04.2 10 is amended to read as follows: <br /> 20.04.210 Time Limitation of Application. <br /> An application for a permit for any proposed work that did not require a plan review shall be deemed to <br /> have been abandoned 12 months after the date of filing, unless such application has been pursued in good <br /> faith or a permit has been issued;except that the Building and Safety Official is authorized to grant one or <br /> more extensions of time for an additional period not exceeding 180 days. The extension shall be requested <br /> in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated. An application shall not be extended if this code or any <br /> other pertinent laws or ordinances have been amended subsequent to the date of application. <br /> To conform with requirements in AB2913, Section 20.04.280 is amended to read as follows: <br /> 20.04.280 Permit expiration. <br /> Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized by such permit is commenced within <br /> 12 months after its issuance. The permit will become invalid if the work authorized by such permit is <br /> suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days following an approval given by the Building and Safety <br /> Official for a required inspection,as enumerated in Section 20.04.350 of this code. The Building and <br /> Safety Official is authorized to grant, in writing, one or more extension of time, for a period not more than <br /> 180 days. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated. <br /> If the permit has expired, before such work can be recommenced,a new permit shall be first obtained to <br /> do so, and the fee therefor shall be one-half the amount required for a new permit for such work,provided <br /> no changes have been made or will be made in the original plans and specifications for such work,and' <br /> provided further that such suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one year. In order to renew <br /> action on a permit after expiration,the permittee shall pay a new full permit fee. <br /> Any permittee holding an unexpired permit may apply for an extension of the time within which work <br /> may commence under that permit when the permittee is unable to commence work within the time <br /> required by this section for good and satisfactory reasons. The Building and Safety Official may extend <br /> the time for action by the permittee for a period not exceeding 180 days on written request by the <br /> permittee showing that circumstances beyond the control of the permittee have prevented action from <br /> being taken. <br /> To conform with requirements in SB721, Section 20.04.3 50 is amended to read as follows: <br /> 20.04.350 Required building inspections. <br />
