CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> INVESTMENT ACTIVITY SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS AS OF SEPTEMBER 30,2022 <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> Primary City Managed Investment Portfolio <br /> The City of Pleasanton General investment portfolio has a decrease of $21 .9 million <br /> based on the investment book value, from $241,007,459 to $ 219,038,987 during the <br /> last quarter ending September 30, 2022. This decrease in the portfolio during the <br /> quarter ending September 30, 2022 was primarily to accommodate large <br /> disbursements to various vendors: CaIPERS for FY 2022/23 Unfunded Pension <br /> Liability, Bay Cities Joint Powers for insurance, and Contractors for various <br /> construction and service contracts. The fiscal year to date effective rate of return on <br /> the portfolio was 1 .24 percent. The average days to maturity (ADM) increased from <br /> 1,068 days on June 30, 2022 to 1 ,089 days on September 30, 2022. <br /> The City's investment in the LAIF decreased to $15.0 million from $35.0 million last <br /> quarter ending June 30, 2022. The quarterly LAIF apportionment interest rate was <br /> 1 .35 percent with ADM of 304 days. The average monthly effective yield was 1 .09 <br /> percent in July, 1 .28 in August, and 1 .51 in September. <br /> During the quarter, only $2.0 million in securities was matured, which the City used to <br /> fund operating cost. As of September 30, 2022, approximately 73.4 percent of the <br /> total portfolio consisted of federal agency securities, while the LAIF investment was <br /> 7.4 percent of the portfolio.
