MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> Councilmember Narum reported last week East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) passed an $800 <br /> million budget including a local development funding component. She inquired if there was Council <br /> interest in having EBCE briefly present at a future meeting to discuss local development opportunities. <br /> Mayor Brown and Councilmember Arkin supported the request. <br /> COUNCIL REPORTS: Brief reports on conferences, seminars, and meetings attended by the Council <br /> Councilmember Testa reported attending an Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District meeting, a <br /> California League of Cities Housing and Community Development meeting, a Chamber of Commerce <br /> economic driver's event, and an Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) general assembly. <br /> Councilmember Narum reported Valley Link approved a $22 million budget and added the federal <br /> government accepted Valley Link to a grants program. She reported that i-GATE is looking for a new <br /> location and Executive Director as they pivots into life sciences. She reported the Livermore Amador <br /> Valley Transportation Authority is recruiting a new Executive Director for the Wheels bus program. <br /> Councilmember Arkin reported attending a Zone 7 ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new water <br /> treatment plant and the Chamber of Commerce's economic driver's event. <br /> Councilmember Balch reported the StopWaste Management Committee appointed City of Dublin Mayor <br /> Melissa Hernandez as President. He reported attending the Zone 7 ribbon-cutting and other events.
