AB 361 provides that public must be given notice of opportunity to call-in or use internet <br /> connection to participate; cannot require person to give name to city to participate — but can be <br /> required to give name to internet website or meeting platform; cannot require comments in <br /> advance; must allow for real time comments; and cannot take action on item if virtual connect <br /> for public is lost. <br /> AB 2449 provides that the City may allow the people to participate in public meetings virtually, <br /> subject to the following requirements: virtual connection must be two-way audiovisual platform <br /> or two way telephonic service and live webcasting; must protect statutory and constitutional <br /> rights of the parties appearing before the City; public must be given notice of opportunity to call- <br /> in, use internet connection, or appear in person to participate; cannot require person to give <br /> name to city to participate — but can be required to give name to internet website or meeting <br /> platform; cannot require comments in advance; must allow for real time comments; and cannot <br /> take action on item if virtual connect for public is lost. <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br />
