Arborist Report. May 8, 2021. HortScience, Inc.
535 Sycamore Road. Davasam and Chekka. Page 2

Description of Trees
Sixty-six (66) trees were assessed, representing 11 species (Table 1). Species present
were typical of those found in landscapes in the Pleasanton area. Species native to the
Pleasanton area include coast live oak, valley oak, and elderberry. It is likely that some
trees of these species were indigenous to the site.

Table 1. Redwoods were concentrated near the east and south property lines
where trees formed a linear screen. In addition, redwoods were present near the
abandoned home. Tree trunk diameters ranged from 7-inches to 44-inches.
Approximately 50% of redwoods were 15-inches or less in diameter. Most redwoods
were in good (22 trees) and excellent (7) condition. Variation in condition was due almost
exclusively to tree health and vigor as indicated by canopy density.

Coast redwood #90 was a large mature tree located on an adjacent property. Not only
did the canopy extend into the project area but tree roots had displaced the wood fence
located above a concrete retaining wall.

Small diameter redwoods (less than 6-inches) were present in the southwest corner of
the property.
