approach, the Organization Committee focuses more closely on the operations of the PDA: <br /> financial oversight, personnel issues, budget, and insurance. Rebuilding PDA's operating <br /> bandwidth and financial reserve post-pandemic are priorities for the Executive Committee. <br /> Promotion/Events & Marketing: The PDA's Marketing Committee currently includes <br /> all board members, and is engaged in reorganizing PDA objectives, plans, and activities to take <br /> full advantage of new opportunities post-pandemic. These include continuation of a robust <br /> social media plan, refreshment of the PDA website, parsing historic Main Street events and <br /> creating new events most suited to new features such as Weekend on Main, redesigned <br /> Concert in the Park, renewed Farmer's Market, and related markets,festivals,and sponsorship <br /> programs. <br /> Economic Restructuring and Design: The PDA's Downtown Vitality and Design Review <br /> Committee currently includes all board members, and is engaged in reorganizing PDA <br /> objectives, plans and activities to take full advantage of new opportunities post-pandemic. <br /> Responsibilities such as sign approval, collaboration with City staff on planning and design <br /> issues, and beautification are ongoing. New initiatives include development of a PDA Retail <br /> Working Group, working with the Pleasanton chapter of Tri-Valley Restaurant Group, and <br /> development of new programs to benefit all PDA members, including especially commercial <br /> and other businesses on 2nd floor Main and off Main Street. <br /> 2022 Review <br /> As we emerged from the immediate Covid crisis, the PDA has spent the bulk of 2022 rebuilding, <br /> reflecting, and fine-tuning for the future of our organization and for Downtown. We are, as <br /> always, extremely grateful for the support of the City of Pleasanton and the ongoing <br /> partnership that strengthens our Downtown as a whole. <br /> 2022 required a large amount of organizational restoration. The impacts of the past two years <br /> were felt deep in the PDA and affected every facet of the organization, from our leadership, our <br /> finances, and our programming. We are so pleased with the progress we have made to not only <br /> recover, but to rebuild in a manner that will better suit our membership and Downtown. With a <br /> staff of three including an Interim Executive Director, a full-time Events Manager, and a part- <br /> time Office & Membership Manager, along with our incredibly dedicated Board of Directors, we <br /> have taken this time to evaluate what works, what makes sense and what best serves <br /> Downtown. <br /> Our PDA mission remains at the forefront of our efforts,to promote the economic vitality and <br /> hometown character of downtown Pleasanton. <br /> An over-arching objective for PDA is to stand up for the common goals and common interests <br /> of a very diverse membership. Our businesses have been pushed to the brink in the past years <br /> and one key goal of 2022 has been to be visible, reach out, reestablish communications and <br />
