Exhibit A <br /> Scope of Work <br /> • BC will provide a cover letter along with each monthly invoice, including budget status and a <br /> summary of tasks performed. Budget assumes a project duration of twelve (12) months. <br /> • BC will prepare meeting agendas and document key outcomes, decisions, and action items. <br /> • Kickoff meeting will occur in-person or via Microsoft Teams and be up to 90 minutes in duration. <br /> Progress meetings will be up to 30 minutes in duration and held via Microsoft Teams. <br /> • Up to four BC staff will attend the kickoff meeting and up to two BC staff will attend the progress <br /> meetings. <br /> 2. Information Collection and Review <br /> BC will prepare a written request for information from the City and Zone 7 and submit it to the City. <br /> Task assumes that the City will coordinate with Zone 7 on the requested information. BC will review <br /> information provided by the City and Zone 7,such as reports, existing groundwater model(s), well <br /> records,groundwater and hydrogeological studies, operational data, and existing agreements. <br /> Information that BC anticipates receiving and reviewing includes the following: <br /> • City water supply information: <br /> — 2020 Urban Water Management Plan <br /> — PFAS Treatment and Well Rehabilitation Project Basis of Design Report <br /> — Water Capacity Evaluation <br /> — Historical water supply data (last 10 years), including peaking factors and water sources <br /> — Well records and operational data <br /> • Zone 7 water supply information: <br /> — Water Demand Study and Water Supply Evaluation Update <br /> — Groundwater Contaminant Mobilization Study <br /> — Transmission System Planning Update <br /> — Groundwater flow model(s), with fate and transport of pollutants if available <br /> — Well records and operational data <br /> • City's existing water supply agreement with Zone 7 <br /> Task 2 Assumptions <br /> • The City and Zone 7 will provide available data and information within two weeks of data request <br /> submittal. Operational data will be provided in Microsoft Excel format. <br /> • BC will rely upon the data made available in response to the data requests. Scope of work for <br /> this study does not include performing additional sample collection or fieldwork. Data analysis <br /> and final study outcomes will be dependent on the available set of data. <br /> • A law firm (under a separate contract with the City)will review the City's water rights and legal <br /> relationship with Zone 7 regarding the existing water supply agreement, groundwater pumping <br /> quota, groundwater basin management, and ability to purchase water from other suppliers. BC <br /> will not perform legal services nor verify legal opinions; however, BC may incorporate findings <br /> from the legal review into the alternatives evaluation, if provided (Task 4). <br /> 3. Alternatives Development <br /> BC will develop an initial list of up to seven water supply alternatives to compare to the baseline <br /> scenario(i.e.,the Treatment Project). Example alternatives may include <br /> • Alternatives that continue to utilize City's groundwater quota,e.g.: <br /> 2 <br />
