From:Squarespace
To:Emily Carroll
Subject:Form Submission - New Form
Date:Wednesday, September 21, 2022 9:10:17 AM
Sent via form submission from Stoneridge Mall Framework
Name: Stacy Bennett
Email:
Message: I live in the Stoneridge neighborhood off Muirwood Drive so this topic is important
to me. The Traffic is a major concern as well as the mall area not becoming an eye sore on top
of adding more traffic.
Pleasanton has an amazing opportunity to create a 2nd "downtown". If the re-development had
the feel of the "Third Street Promenade" in Santa Monica, with smaller restaurants, a few
boutiques, live music venues, open air coffee shops, a small playground, water fountains etc it
would be a destination spot for families to gather and enjoy themselves. You can visit there on
any day of the week and there are people out and about enjoying themselves. Tax revenue
would still be generated for the city but in a more intimate setting. If housing is going in, the
residents will have easy access to shopping and dining. Walking trails from the housing
development to the shopping area can also lesson car useage.
PLEASE DO NOT LET PLEASANTON BECOME DUBLIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dublin has
become an eye sore with no character and is a traffic nightmare to boot. Stoneridge Drive will
quickly become Dublin Blvd which is congested all the time!!
I am in agreement the space needs updating, but please don't act in haste and put up a bunch of
buildings that do nothing to enhance the Pleasanton community at large.
Thank you for your consideration,
Stacy Bennett
Does this submission look like spam?
