RESOLUTION NO. 22-1325 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> APPROVING UPDATES TO THE MANAGEMENT/CONFIDENTIAL SALARY <br /> SCHEDULE PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' <br /> RETIREMENT SYSTEM (CALPERS) CIRCULAR LETTER 200-003-20 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is a California Public Employees' Retirement <br /> System (CaIPERS) member agency and as such complies with CaIPERS' regulatory <br /> requirements; and <br /> WHEREAS, compensation for the City of Pleasanton's management and <br /> confidential employees is set forth in the Management/Confidential Employee <br /> Performance Compensation Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, CaIPERS issued Payroll Circular Letter 200-003-20 on January 8, <br /> 2020 (Exhibit A), directing all contracted agencies to amend their publicly available pay <br /> schedules to include minimum and maximum pay rates for each classification to comply <br /> with the Public Employees' Retirement Law (PERL), Public Employees' Pension Reform <br /> Act of 2013 (PEPRA), and Title 2 of the California code of Regulations (CCR); and <br /> WHEREAS, this update to the City of Pleasanton's existing publicly available pay <br /> schedules is required to allow the appropriate calculation of pension compensation <br /> (Exhibit B); and <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council authorize the City Manager or his <br /> designee to amend the Management/Confidential Employee Performance Compensation <br /> Plan Salary Schedules to include minimum, midpoint, and maximum pay for each <br /> management/confidential classification to remain in compliance with statutory and <br /> regulatory requirements. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Amends the Management/Confidential Employee Salary Schedules <br /> to include the full salary range (80%, 100%, and 120% of Monthly Control Point), effective <br /> dates September 9, 2017, to July 1, 2021, for management/confidential employees as <br /> provided in Exhibit B, and all future salary schedules. <br /> SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage <br /> and adoption. <br />
