THE CITY OF <br />SLE ASANTTONz <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />September 6, 2022 <br />Library and Recreation <br />TITLE: APPROVE THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE SERVICES AGREEMENT <br />WITH TRI -VALLEY REPERTORY THEATRE FOR THEATRICAL <br />PRODUCTION SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $65,000 <br />SUMMARY <br />Tri -Valley Repertory Theatre (TVRT) was selected to provide theatrical production <br />services to the City of Pleasanton in 2018. City Council approved a Services Agreement <br />for Fiscal Year 2018/19 with the option of four additional one-year extensions over a <br />five-year period. The Second Amendment to the Services Agreement expired on June <br />30, 2022. The proposed Third Amendment extends contractual servicesthrough June <br />30, 2023, for the fifth year of a contract totaling $355,072 over five years. Based upon <br />the success of Tri -Valley Repertory Theatre at the Firehouse Arts Center in 2018, 2019, <br />and 2022, staff recommends extending the Services Agreement with TVRT. Services <br />include professional, artistic, technical, and administrative support for one theatrical <br />production in the Spring of 2023. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the Third Amendment to the Services Agreement with Tri -Valley Repertory <br />Theatre for theatrical production services in an amount not to exceed $65,000. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The proposed Third Amendment to the Services Agreement with Tri -Valley Repertory <br />Theatre for theatrical production services is in an amount not to exceed $65,000 in FY <br />2022/23. $65,000 has been allocated for this Services Agreement as part of the FY <br />2022/23 Operating Budget in the Firehouse Arts Center's Professional Services <br />account: 00150405-430101. Expenses are largely offset by revenues derived from ticket <br />sales. As the 2018 Services Agreement and subsequent amendments would result in <br />an expenditure of $355,072 over a five-year period, City Council approval of the Third <br />Amendment is required under the City's Purchasing Policy. <br />
