THE CITY OF SLE ASANTTONz CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT September 6, 2022 Library and Recreation TITLE: APPROVE THE THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH TRI -VALLEY REPERTORY THEATRE FOR THEATRICAL PRODUCTION SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $65,000 SUMMARY Tri -Valley Repertory Theatre (TVRT) was selected to provide theatrical production services to the City of Pleasanton in 2018. City Council approved a Services Agreement for Fiscal Year 2018/19 with the option of four additional one-year extensions over a five-year period. The Second Amendment to the Services Agreement expired on June 30, 2022. The proposed Third Amendment extends contractual servicesthrough June 30, 2023, for the fifth year of a contract totaling $355,072 over five years. Based upon the success of Tri -Valley Repertory Theatre at the Firehouse Arts Center in 2018, 2019, and 2022, staff recommends extending the Services Agreement with TVRT. Services include professional, artistic, technical, and administrative support for one theatrical production in the Spring of 2023. RECOMMENDATION Approve the Third Amendment to the Services Agreement with Tri -Valley Repertory Theatre for theatrical production services in an amount not to exceed $65,000. FINANCIAL STATEMENT The proposed Third Amendment to the Services Agreement with Tri -Valley Repertory Theatre for theatrical production services is in an amount not to exceed $65,000 in FY 2022/23. $65,000 has been allocated for this Services Agreement as part of the FY 2022/23 Operating Budget in the Firehouse Arts Center's Professional Services account: 00150405-430101. Expenses are largely offset by revenues derived from ticket sales. As the 2018 Services Agreement and subsequent amendments would result in an expenditure of $355,072 over a five-year period, City Council approval of the Third Amendment is required under the City's Purchasing Policy.
