CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. <br />September 6, 2022 <br />Human Resources <br />TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION APPROVING UPDATES TO THE <br />MANAGEMENT/CONFIDENTIAL SALARY SCHEDULE PURSUANT TO <br />CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM <br />(CALPERS) CIRCULAR LETTER 200-003-20 <br />SUMMARY <br />The Management/Confidential Employee Performance Compensation Plan Salary <br />Schedules require an update to include the full monthly salary range for each <br />management and confidential classification to comply with the requirements of the <br />California Public Employees' Retirement System (CaIPERS) Payroll Circular Letter <br />200-003-20. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends City Council adopt a resolution approving the revisions to the <br />Management/Confidential Employee Performance Compensation Plan Salary <br />Schedules to include the full salary range, from 80% to 120% of the Monthly Control <br />Point, for each management and confidential classification, with effective dates <br />September 9, 2017, to present. This update is recommended to keep the City of <br />Pleasanton in compliance with CalPERS' requirements and to allow for the appropriate <br />calculation of pension compensation. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There are no changes requested to the salary ranges for any classification listed on the <br />salary schedules. Therefore, there is no fiscal impact. <br />
