Q: Why open a Residential Recycled Water Fill Station now? <br /> A: The proposed fill station will alleviate the impact of conservation on Tri- <br /> Valley residents by offering access to recycled water during mandatory <br /> conservation. <br /> Q: Why do we need it? <br /> A: To alleviate the impact of conservation to residential customers, the <br /> agencies have been working collaboratively to replace the fill station that was <br /> located at the WWTP during the 2014-2015 drought. <br /> Q: What is the timeline? <br /> A: The fill station will operate during the months of April through October, <br /> during times of mandatory conservation. <br /> Q: When is the expected go-live date? <br /> A: This project is pending Council reconsideration at the August 16, 2022 <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Q: What Agencies are involved? <br /> A: This is a Tri-Valley effort between the City of Livermore, Dublin San Ramon <br /> Services District and the City of Pleasanton. <br /> Q: Why is this for the Tri-Valley, not just Pleasanton? <br /> A: The drought effects the Tri-Valley as a region and the purpose of the fill <br /> station is to mitigate the effects of drought. <br /> Q: Who is paying for it? <br /> A: The costs are split equally between the City of Livermore, Dublin San <br /> Ramon Services District and the City of Pleasanton. <br /> Q: Was the project noticed to residents? <br /> A: The project was noticed to the public: <br /> 1. There was notification of the June 21, 2022, City Council meeting which <br /> included a staff report requesting City Council action to authorize the project <br /> and enter into agreement with City of Livermore and the Dublin San Ramon <br /> Services District. The regional agreement, Council staff report, and other <br /> documents were posted and made available to the public consistent with State <br /> law for public meetings. <br /> 2. Additionally, the Community Development Department is reviewing a <br /> Temporary Use Permit (TUP) application for the Recycled Water Fill <br /> Station. While procedures for issuance of a TUP do not require public <br /> notification, noticing postcards sent were issued to neighbors within 1,000 <br /> feet which is the City's standard noticing radius for major projects. <br /> 2 <br />
