CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> INVESTMENT ACTIVITY SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS AS JUNE,2022 <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> Primary City Managed Investment Portfolio <br /> The City of Pleasanton General investment portfolio has an increase of $22.0 million <br /> based on the investment book value, from $219,001,527 to $241,007,459 during the <br /> last quarter ending June 30, 2022. The increase in the portfolio during the quarter <br /> ending June 30, 2022 was primarily due to investing the property tax and sales tax <br /> installment that remained in the City's general bank account at the Fiscal Year End. <br /> The fiscal year to date effective rate of return on the portfolio was 1.19 percent. The <br /> average days to maturity (ADM) decreased from 1,261 days on March 31, 2022 to <br /> 1 ,068 days on June 30, 2022. <br /> The City's investment in the LAIF increased to$35 million from $10 million last <br /> quarter ending March 31, 2022. The quarterly LAIF apportionment interest rate was <br /> 0.75 percent with ADM of 311 days. The average monthly effective yield was 0.523 <br /> percent in April, 0.684 in May, and 0.861 in June. <br /> During the quarter, only $3.2 million in securities matured,which the City used to fund <br /> operating costs and purchased one certificate of deposit. The yield of the new <br /> certificate of deposit was 0.5 percent. As of June 30, 2022, approximately 67.8 <br /> percent of the total portfolio consisted of federal agency securities, while the LAIF <br /> investment was 14.52 percent of the portfolio.
