A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS, LOCAL 1974 FOR THE TERM OF JANUARY 1, 2022 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025 WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 expired on December 31, 2021; and WHEREAS, representatives from the cities of Pleasanton and Livermore have met and conferred with representatives of the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 and prepared a successor agreement covering the period January 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 for the term commencing January 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025. SECTION 2. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on the 19' day of July 2022.
