CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 04-068 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SETTING COMPENSATION FOR MANAGEMENT (INCLUDING <br />LPFD MANAGEMENT) AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />compensation for the City's management (including LPFD managers) and <br />confidential employees, except the City Manager and City Attorney, is set forth in <br />the City's Management and Confidential Compensation Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current Management and Confidential Compensation Plan expired on August <br /> 31, 2004; and <br /> <br />the City Manager has recommended that the City Council authorize the City <br />Manager to increase the salary control points for each management classification to <br />allow for performance-based salary increases not to exceed a pool equal to 3% of <br />management compensation; and <br /> <br />the City Manager has also recommended that the City Council authorize the City <br />Manager to increase the salary control points for each confidential classification to <br />allow for performance-based salary increases not to exceed a pool equal to 5% of <br />confidential compensation. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Authorizes the City Manager to increase the salary control points for each <br />Management and Confidential classification as recommended by the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />Approves the 2004/2005 Management and Confidential Compensation Plan as <br />~ by this resolution. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
