CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 04-064 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ALLOCATION OF MEASURE D RECYCLING <br />FUNDS TO SUPPORT RECYCLING INITIATIVES AND PROGRAMS AT <br />PLEASANTON SCHOOL SITES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of September 16, 2003, the City Council allocated Measure D recycling <br /> Funds to implement the Go Green Initiative at PTA and non-PTA local school sites; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Go Green Initiative was implemented in several PTA schools during the 2003-04 <br /> school year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the balance of funds ($45,000) will be made available to the Go Green Initiative <br />Association to be used during the 2004-05 school year to implement recycling programs <br />in various schools, regardless of PTA designation; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an agreement awarding a <br />$45,000 grant in Measure D recycling funds to the Go Green Initiative Association to implement <br />recycling programs at Pleasanton public schools. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND REGULARLY <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING HELD <br />ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2004, BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and Mayor Pico <br />None <br /> <br />--fiawn G.
