RESOLUTION NO. 22-1301 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AMENDING <br />THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE REGARDING WATER METERS <br />WHEREAS, the Pleasanton Municipal Code allows a water consumer to request that the <br />City retest the consumer's water meter for accuracy, and the Master Fee Schedule needs to be <br />amended to indicate the hourly cost for such retesting (amending Cost Recovery Resolution 11- <br />423, which added hourly costs for replacement and damage repair) which the consumer pays if <br />the retested meter was undercounting water usage; and <br />WHEREAS, water meter models, sizes and radio telemetry technology for remote reading <br />have changed since the Master Fee Schedule for water meters was last updated in 2011, and <br />related costs for installation of meters and programming has also been calculated as shown in <br />Exhibit A to reach updated fees for water meters and installation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. Amends the Master Fee Schedule as follows: <br />IX. WATER RATES, FEES and CHARGES <br />A. Water Rates & Charges <br />Retesting, Replacement and Damage Fees <br />During regular business hours <br />(contacting the City between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm) <br />After hour (see above), weekends and holidays <br />B. Water Meter & Installation Fees <br />$75.00 per hour plus cost of materials <br />$100.00 per hour plus cost of materials <br />The Director of Operations and Water Utilities, or designee, shall publish periodically the fees <br />or fee formula for water service installation by the City.
