Appendix D <br /> LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT GENERAL OPERATIONS <br /> G.O.#: 200.01 EFFECTIVE DATE: XX/XX/20 PREY.DATE: 05/30/2019 <br /> SECTION: Personnel SUBJECT: General Operations Page 1 of 8 Page(s) <br /> I.PURPOSE: <br /> To establish procedural guidelines for staffing the Operations Bureau of the fire department. <br /> Staffing Captains and Duty Chiefs will use good judgment and discretion when assigning shift- <br /> fill for situations not specifically addressed in this policy. Staffing decisions shall be based on <br /> all factors and what is best for the organization considering the impact to personnel. <br /> II. RESPONSIBILITY: <br /> A. It will be the responsibility of ALL personnel to follow this procedure. <br /> B. All members are responsible for managing their Telestaff Calendar. <br /> C. All members shall check their Telestaff Calendar at least once a day when on-duty. <br /> D. Captains are responsible for making entries for their assigned crew members. <br /> E. Once staffing has been filled and out bounded by the Staffing Captain(s), no changes shall <br /> be made without approval of the Staffing Captain(s)or Duty Chief. <br /> F. All members are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information in both Telestaff <br /> and Communicator. <br /> III. I)I:FINITIONS; <br /> \. Shift Fill - Assignments made to maintain staffing levels, fill vacancies, or attend <br /> meetings and/or events required by the fire department. These assignments are voluntary. <br /> (Pick List=Available) <br /> B. Mandatory Shift Fill - Assignments made when an individual is ordered to work <br /> involuntarily. These can be made for an amount of time.(Exception-Holdovers) <br /> NOTE: Not all Mandatory Assignments result in Mandate Credit;i.e.Meetings Supervisors should <br /> provide feedback throughout the year and maintain supervisor notes of highlights they <br /> may wish to capture in the annual performance review document. <br /> lk matted:Right <br /> 53 — ---- <br />
