FOR TEMPORARY ACCOUNTING <br /> STAFFING SERVICES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Finance Department (Department) uses temporary staffing to assist with project- <br /> based workloads, to backfill employees on an extended leave, or to backfill vacancies <br /> until the Department hires a permanent replacement. Since March 2022, the <br /> Department has been experiencing a high volume of vacancies and has been relying <br /> heavily on temporary staff to fill all the gaps created. In January 2022, City Council <br /> (Council) approved a purchase order agreement with Robert Half International, Inc. in <br /> the amount of $160,000. Due to the ongoing critical needs of the Department, it is <br /> anticipated that the actual amount will exceed the $160,000 originally approved by an <br /> additional $40,000. An amendment to the original purchase order is necessary due to <br /> the increased duration need for staffing services. The increased amount will place the <br /> overall purchase in excess of the City Manager's approval threshold of $100,000 and <br /> requires Council approval. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve and authorize the City Manager to amend the original purchase order <br /> agreement with Robert Half International Inc. for up to $200,000 for temporary staffing <br /> services. <br /> FISCAL IMPACT <br /> The Finance Department's budget includes funding for staff. <br />
