Painting commercial bins to comply with SB 1383 required colors.
Another potential SB 1383 related cost that was discussed with the subcommittee
relates to the processing of commercial organics facilities. PGS has been notified by the
currently approved processing facility that it is no longer able to receive the commercial
organic materials due to state permitting requirements. The City is working with PGS to
add an Approved Facility for Organics Processing for the commercial organic materials
as outlined in the amended franchise agreement. As soon as a facility has been
identified and terms have been agreed upon, a special rate adjustment will be brought
to the City Council to compensate PGS for the increased costs as outlined in the
franchise agreement.
Submitted by:
Becky Hopkins
Assistant to the City Manager
Fiscal Review:
IAahin Shah
Interim Director of Finance
Approved by:
I,, -
Gerry
Beaudin
City Manager
Attachments:
1.
