Housing Commission <br />Tri -Valley REACH ADU project was presented to the Housing Commission at its May <br />19, 2022, meeting to discuss the program concepts and financing of the project. The <br />Housing Commission unanimously supported staff's recommendation to financially <br />support the project by approving the allocation of the remaining $552,772 Measure Al <br />funding to assist in the financing the construction of the two ADU units. <br />The Housing Commission also made a separate recommendation for the City Council to <br />consider waiving the building permit fees, which are currently estimated to be <br />approximately $40,000, for both of the proposed ADU units in order to further financially <br />assist Tri -Valley REACH to move forward and complete the project. The final fees due <br />will be calculated at the time the building permit applications are submitted. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends the City Council authorize 1) the allocation of the remaining <br />$552,772 of the City's share of the Measure Al funding to the Tri -Valley REACH ADU <br />project, and 2) the City Manager to execute the documents necessary to allocate the <br />funds to the project. <br />Submitted and Approved by: <br />Gerry Beaudin <br />City Manager <br />Attachments: <br />1.
