Ordinance No. <br /> Page 2 <br /> B. The Military Equipment Use Policy will safeguard the public's welfare, safety, <br /> civil rights, and civil liberties; and <br /> C. The equipment described in the Military Equipment Use Policy is reasonably <br /> cost effective compared to available alternatives that can achieve the same objective <br /> of officer and civilian safety; and <br /> D. Prior military equipment use complied with the applicable equipment use <br /> policy (which included equipment now defined as military equipment) that was in effect <br /> at the time, or if prior uses did not comply with the accompanying military equipment <br /> use policy, corrective action has been taken to remedy nonconforming uses and <br /> ensure future compliance. <br /> Section 3. Severability. If any part of this ordinance is declared invalid by a <br /> court, such invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining parts. <br /> Section 4. Publication. This ordinance, or a summary prepared by the City <br /> Attorney, shall be published once in a newspaper of general circulation of the City of <br /> Pleasanton within fifteen days after its adoption. <br /> Section 5. Effective Date.
