7 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTONo <br /> June 7, 2022 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY A. TEICHERT & <br /> SON, INC. FOR THE ANNUAL STREET RESURFACING AND <br /> PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROJECT, CIP NO. 21503 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This project consisted of a full-width pavement overlay on 1.33 million square feet of <br /> existing asphalt pavement and isolated full-depth pavement repairs in preparation for <br /> 1.5 million square feet of existing asphalt pavement that was slurry sealed. This project <br /> included various streets within the city of Pleasanton that were prioritized for treatment <br /> through the City's Pavement Management Program. City Council awarded this <br /> construction contract to A. Teichert & Son, Inc. on June 1, 2021. Construction of the <br /> project is now complete and ready for City Council acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the project as complete and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> 2. Authorize the release of the retention in the amount of$180,154.03 to A. Teichert & <br /> Son, Inc. 30 days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize the transfer of the remaining funding of$195,469 in CIP No. 21503 to the <br /> Annual Street Resurfacing and Preventative Maintenance Project, CIP No. 22503. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $3,825,697. Expenditures totaled $3,630,229, leaving a <br /> balance of$195,469 in the project fund. Staff recommends the remaining balance be <br /> transferred to the Annual Street Resurfacing and Preventative Maintenance Project, <br /> CIP No. 22503. <br />
