RESOLUTION NO. 22-1296 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF CLAIMS WITH THE METROPOLITAN <br /> TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC) FOR ALLOCATION OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS, AND WITH THE ALAMEDA <br /> COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (ACTC) FOR MEASURE BB FUNDS <br /> FOR FISCAL YEAR 2022/23 <br /> WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended (Public Utilities <br /> Code Section 99200, et. seq.) provides for the disbursement of funds from the Local <br /> Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for the purpose of <br /> community transit services to local residents; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, as amended, and pursuant to the <br /> applicable rules and regulations hereunder (21 California Administrative Code, Section 6600, et. <br /> seq.), a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the Local Transportation Fund <br /> shall file its claim with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, Alameda County Measure BB provides for the distribution of funds from local <br /> dedicated sales tax to provide special transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Measure BB, a prospective claimant wishing to <br /> receive an allocation from Alameda County shall file its claim with the Alameda County <br /> Transportation Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS,the claims propose to continue a current program utilizing existing equipment, <br /> manpower, and routes, and proposes minor additional services and is, therefore, considered <br /> exempt from the requirements of the California Environment Quality Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County and <br /> Measure BB funds will be required by the Pleasanton Rides Service in Fiscal Year 2022/23 for <br /> community transit services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1: Authorizes the City Manager or designee, to execute and file appropriate <br /> claims pursuant to the terms of the Transportation Development Act and Alameda County <br /> Measure BB, as amended, and pursuant to applicable rules and regulations promulgated <br /> thereunder. together with all necessary supporting documents, with the MTC, ACTC and the <br /> Alameda County Board of Supervisors for an allocation of TDA and Measure BB funds for Fiscal <br /> Year 2022/23. <br /> SECTION 2: Transmit a copy of this Resolution to the MTC. ACTC, and the Alameda <br /> County Board of Supervisors in conjunction with the filing of claims, and the MTC and ACTC will <br /> be requested to grant the allocations of funds as specified herein. <br />
