RESOLUTION NO. 22-1297 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION, ACCEPTANCE, AND COMMITMENT TO THE <br /> BUREAU OF RECLAMATION'S WATERSMART SMALL-SCALE WATER EFFICIENCY <br /> PROJECTS FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR THE CITY ECO-FRIENDLY LAWN <br /> CONVERSION REBATE PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton (City) desires and intends to finance expenditures <br /> related to the Eco-Friendly Lawn Conversion Rebate Program (Project), and <br /> WHEREAS, the City intends to apply for a WaterSMART Small-Scale Water Efficiency <br /> Projects funding opportunity from the Federal U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of <br /> Reclamation for the Project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. Approves this authorizing resolution as required by the Bureau of <br /> Reclamation. <br /> SECTION 2. Appoints the City's Director of Operations and Water Utilities, or designee, <br /> as the City's "Authorized Representative", who is hereby authorized and directed to sign and file, <br /> for and enter into an agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation for this funding opportunity on <br /> behalf of the City. <br /> SECTION 3. The Authorized Representative, or designee, is designated to provide for <br /> assurance, certifications, and commitments required for the financial assistance application, <br /> including executing an agreement from the Bureau of Reclamation and any amendments or <br /> changes thereof. <br /> SECTION 4. The Authorized Representative, or designee, is designated to represent the <br /> City in carrying out the City's responsibilities under the funding agreement, including certifying <br /> reimbursement requests on behalf of the City and compliance with applicable state and federal <br /> laws. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on May 17, 2022. <br /> I, Jocelyn Kwong, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting on May 17, 2022 by the following <br /> vote: <br />
