16 <br />THE CITY OF <br />"' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />PLEASANTON. <br />May 17, 2022 <br />Library and Recreation <br />TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF <br />APPLICATIONS TO THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION <br />COMMISSION FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS <br />AND THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR <br />MEASURE BB FUNDS FOR THE PLEASANTON RIDES DOOR-TO-DOOR <br />PROGRAM <br />SUMMARY <br />The Transportation Development Act (TDA) provides for the disbursement of funds <br />through the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) for the purpose of providing <br />community transit services to local residents. Measure BB provides for the <br />disbursement of funds through the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) <br />for the purpose of providing community transit services to seniors and people with <br />disabilities. Eligible agencies like the City of Pleasanton are required to file applications <br />annually with both the MTC and the ACTC to receive funding allocations. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution authorizing the submittal of applications to the Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission for Transportation Development Act funds and the Alameda <br />County Transportation Commission for Measure BB Funds for the Pleasanton Rides <br />Door -to -Door program. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The total cost of the City's Pleasanton Rides Door -to -Door program is $563,372. The <br />City expects to receive $105,100 in funding from the MTC and $542,000 from the <br />Alameda County Transportation Commission (Measure BB). Surplus funds will be <br />allocated to the City's Measure BB reserves to be used for future program expenditures. <br />
