CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> INVESTMENT ACTIVITY SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS AS MARCH,2022 <br /> SUMMARY: <br /> Primary City Managed Investment Portfolio <br /> The City of Pleasanton General investment portfolio has a marginal change of <br /> ($217,561) based on the investment book value, from $219,219,088 to $219,001,527 <br /> during the last quarter ending March 31, 2022. The fiscal year to date effective rate of <br /> return on the portfolio was 1.22 percent. The average days to maturity (ADM) <br /> slightly increased from 1,245 days on December 31, 2021 to 1,261 days on March 31, <br /> 2022. <br /> The City's investment in the LAIF remained at $10 million, no change from last <br /> quarter ending December 31, 2021. The quarterly LAIF apportionment interest rate <br /> was 0.32 percent with ADM of 310 days. The average monthly effective yield was <br /> 0.234 percent in January, 0.278 in February, and 0.365 in March. <br /> During the quarter, only $3.9 million in securities matured and called,which the City <br /> either used to fund operating costs or reinvested into Agencies at the market rate. <br /> The yield of the newly added investment was 2.11 percent. As of March 31, 2022, <br /> approximately 74.62 percent of the total portfolio consisted of federal agency <br /> securities, while the LAIF investment was 4.57 percent of the portfolio.
