RESOLUTION NO. 22-1286 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING THE PARKLET DESIGN PACKET WHEREAS, the City Council adopted the Downtown Parklet Program on December 21, 2021: and WHEREAS, the Council directed staff to engage a professional services firm to design a pre-approved parklet structure; and WHEREAS, staff contracted with Dahlin Group, Inc., a competent engineering firm to draw up a detailed plan that complies with the Parklet Design Guidelines; and WHEREAS, the project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3), "the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment' as the Program has no potential to result in a direct, or reasonably foreseeable, indirect impact on the environment; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton held a duly-noticed public hearing and considered relevant exhibits, recommendations from City staff concerning this action, and received testimony from interested parties. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Approve the Parklet Design Package, as set forth in Exhibit A, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. SECTION 2. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on April 19, 2022.
