10b
THE CITY OF
~ "--' CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pLE ASANTON,
May 3, 2022
City Manager
Housing Division
TITLE: APPROVE THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN (FY 2022-2023) FOR THE USE OF
FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS
SUMMARY
Pleasanton is anticipated to receive approximately $368,034 in federal CDBG funds for
federal Fiscal Year 2022 (2022/23). At the May 3 meeting, the Council is also expected
to take action regarding the allocation of federal CDBG funds for FY 2022 as part of the
allocation of Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) funding to local non-profit
agencies. This report summarizes the Annual Action Plan for FY 2022 that must be
submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order
for the City to receive its FY 2022 allocation of CDBG funds. The report makes a
recommendation to approve this document.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Annual Action Plan for federal Fiscal Year 2022 and direct staff to submit it
to HUD sixty days after HUD announcement of the FY 2022 CDBG allocation amounts.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The approval of the annual Action Plan will not have a direct fiscal impact on the City.
As noted earlier, the City will receive an estimated $368,034 in CDBG funds for
FY 2022 (2022/23).
