Compost shall meet the State's composting operations regulatory requirements. <br /> Contractor—Any person, group of persons, business, consultant, designing architect, association, <br /> partnership, corporation, supplier, vendor or other entity that has a contract with the City or <br /> serves in a subcontracting capacity with an entity having a contract with the City for the <br /> provision of goods or services. <br /> Direct Service Provider—A person, company, agency, district, or other entity that provides a <br /> service or services to the City pursuant to a contract or other written agreement or as otherwise <br /> defined in Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations Section 18982(a)(17). <br /> EcoLogo TM-A third-party, multi-attribute eco-labeling program founded by the Canadian <br /> government in 1988. The Program compares products and services with others in the same <br /> category, develops rigorous and scientifically relevant criteria, and awards the EcoLogoTM to <br /> those that are environmentally preferable throughout their entire lifecycle. <br /> Electricity Procured from Biomass Conversion—Electricity generated from biomass facilities <br /> that convert Recovered Organic Waste, such as wood and prunings from the municipal stream, <br /> into electricity.
