CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 04-058 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION QUITCLAIMING CITY'S INTEREST AS TO A PORTION <br />OF NEVADA STREET (FORMERLY DEL VALLE PARKWAY) <br />PREVIOUSLY VACATED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in 1996 the City Council adopted a resolution (Resolution 96-76) vacating a <br />portion of Del Valle Parkway (now Nevada Street) between Stanley Boulevard <br />and Bemal Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Valley Humane Society, as owner of Parcel A, Tract 4401 and of a portion of <br />the vacated Del Valle Parkway/Nevada Street adjacent to Parcel A, Tract 4401, <br />has requested that the City quitclaim to it any interest the City might have in 948 <br />square feet of previously vacated right of way located east of the property now <br />owned by the Valley Humane Society; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City, having previously vacated this portion of the fight of way, has no future <br /> need or interest in such property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Section 2: <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />The City Manager is authorized to sign a deed quitclaiming the City of <br />Pleasanton's right, title and interest to certain property, being a portion of Nevada <br />Street (formerly Del Valle Parkway), previously vacated, as more fully described <br />in the attached Exhibit A and depicted in the attached Exhibit B. <br /> <br />The City Clerk is to record this resolution as part of the quitclaim deed. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
