2.7 Parks and Recreation Commission #2 <br />On August 12, 2021 the initial community outreach <br />results and concept alternatives were presented <br />to the Parks and Recreation Commission. The <br />presentation started with a recap of the project <br />process to date including the results from the <br />stakeholder meetings, Public Workshop #1, and <br />Community -wide Survey #I. The two Concept <br />Alternatives derived from the community feedback <br />were then presented. The plan features and related <br />concept imagery were presented in detail for each <br />of the alternatives. As part of the plan presentation, <br />a parking study was shared that illustrated ideas <br />to add accessible parking. Following the concept <br />presentations, next steps in the design process <br />were reviewed. And finally, a discussion took place <br />in which Commissioners provided detailed feedback <br />on each of the concepts and the features included. <br />Overall, both options were very well received but <br />most commissioners favored Concept #I. <br />2.8 Human Services Commission <br />On September 1, 2021, the design team presented <br />the All -Abilities Playground to the Human Services <br />Commission. The presentation included a project <br />overview, the project process to date, the initial <br />community outreach results, and the two Concept <br />Alternatives. Similar to the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission meeting, the Commissioners were <br />'walked' through each of the plan alternatives. <br />Verbal and image -based descriptions were provided <br />for each concept, as well as general amenity images <br />that would be common to both alternatives. <br />34 PLEASANTON ALL -ABILITIES PLAYGROUND <br />Following the conceptual design presentation, <br />next steps in the process were laid out and finally <br />a discussion to obtain feedback took place. The <br />Commissioners provided detailed thoughts on the <br />character and features of each concept. The overall <br />consensus was a preference for Concept #2. <br />2.9 Youth Commission <br />On September 8, 2021, the design team <br />presented the All -Abilities Playground to the <br />Youth Commission. The same presentation that <br />was shown to the Human Services Commission <br />including project overview, project process to <br />date, initial community outreach results, and <br />the two Concept Alternatives was shared.
