1.3 Purpose <br />The All -Abilities Playground Master Plan is intended <br />to provide the City of Pleasanton with a starting <br />point for the successful design and construction of <br />a premier all -abilities playground. The work phases <br />for any given project will vary, but the end goal is <br />always the same — a project that is built successfully, <br />on time, and within the given budget. <br />For this project, the workflow will consist of the <br />Conceptual Design Phase, which includes public <br />outreach, the entitlement process, and the design <br />1.4 Goals and Objectives <br />The goal for the Pleasanton All -Abilities Playground <br />is to provide a family -friendly community space that <br />values inclusivity, diversity, the preservation of the <br />natural environment, and reflects the spirit and <br />character of the Pleasanton community. <br />An extension of this goal is to create this space <br />locally, within the heart of Pleasanton, so that <br />residents do not have to travel outside of the area <br />to find inspiring inclusive play opportunities. <br />of the Final Conceptual Plan. This <br />package is used for the bidding and construction <br />stages of the project. <br />This Master Plan chronicles the first phase of the <br />project, the Conceptual Design Phase. It catalogs <br />the extensive public outreach and feedback that <br />was received, describes the Design Alternatives, <br />and details the Final Conceptual Plan. <br />14 PLEASANTON ALL -ABILITIES PLAYGROUND <br />place in the early stages of the project to identify <br />community priorities and solidify this goal.
