Pleasanton is also served by the <br />following Wheels bus routes: <br /> Route 3 connecting Stoneridge Shopping Center to East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station via <br />Hacienda Drive and Stone Ridge Drive. <br /> Route 8 connecting the East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station and south Pleasanton along <br />Hopyard Road and Valley Avenue. <br /> Route 14 connecting the City from the East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station to Livermore via <br />Jack London Boulevard and Stoneridge Drive. <br /> Route 53 connecting the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station to the Alameda County <br />Fairgrounds and ACE station via I-680 and Bernal Avenue. <br /> Route 54 connecting East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station to Alameda County Fairgrounds and <br />ACE Station via I-680, Hopyard Road, Valley Avenue, Los Positas Boulevard, and Bernal Avenue. <br /> Route 70X connecting East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, and <br />Pleasant Hill. <br /> Route 580X connecting East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station and Livermore Transit Center via <br />I-58- and North Livermore Avenue. <br /> Route 10R connecting East Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station and Livermore Transit Center via <br />Santa Rita Road and Stanley Boulevard. <br />Local Setting <br />Pleasanton is the eighth most populous city in Alameda County, with a population of 79,871 <br />according to the 2020 U.S. Census.2 Residential uses comprise the largest portion of existing land <br />uses within the City. In addition, the City contains retail, office, and industrial uses along major <br />transportation corridors, as well as in the downtown area. Neighborhood and community parks are <br />interspersed throughout the City, with passive open space uses in the eastern, southern, and <br />western fringes of the City.3 The City supports a diverse range of industries, including agriculture, <br />recreation, tourism, and a variety of retail, office, and commerce. <br />Pleasanton is located within an alluvial valley. The City is located approximately 340 feet above <br />mean sea level, and its topography is generally flat with elevations increasing towards the <br />Pleasanton ridgelands to the west.4 The City is characterized by a Mediterranean climate with dry <br />summers and wet winters. The warmest months of the year in Pleasanton are July and August, and <br />the coldest months of the year are December and January. The annual average daily maximum <br />temperature is 89.0 degrees Fahrenheit (°F), while the annual average daily minimum temperature <br />is 38.8°F.
