GROWTH MANAGEMENT REPORT
The City's Growth Management Ordinance manages the number of residential units that
are approved or entitled each year. A Growth Management Report was presented to the
City Council on October 15, 2013, determining the annual unit allocation commencing
July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2022 —this annual allocation is 235 units, consistent with
the City's RHNA (Regional Housing Need Allocation). On February 3, 2015, the City
Council further amended Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 17.36 to ensure the
Growth Management Ordinance does not include constraints that would prevent the City
from meeting its share of the regional housing need for all income levels during the
Housing Element planning period and stated the City's intention to have the City Manager
regularly report on efforts to meet goals of the Growth Management Ordinance.
In 2021, the City approved a total of five (5) new Growth Management Allocations,
associated with entitlements/planning approvals issued for five single-family home units.'
Approved and entitled units are also included in the new standardized tables required by
HCD within Table Al and the APR. It should be noted an additional 17 Accessory
Dwelling Units were also approved in 2021 — these units are exempt from the Growth
Management Allocation requirements.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
This is an informational report and not a project as defined by CEQA Guidelines Section
15378. Therefore, no environmental assessment is required.
mittee by: Approved by:
Ellen Clark Brian Dolan
Director of Community Interim City Manager
Development
Attachments:
1.
