THE CITY OF 6 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON <br /> March 1 , 2022 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF <br /> THE GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT AND GROWTH MANAGEMENT <br /> REPORT FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2021 AND AUTHORIZE SUBMITTAL TO <br /> THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT AND THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF PLANNING AND <br /> RESEARCH <br /> SUMMARY <br /> An Annual Progress Report (APR) on the status of the Pleasanton General Plan Housing <br /> Element has been prepared for the 2021 calendar year, per State law. The report must <br /> be approved by the local legislative body through a resolution and submitted to the State <br /> Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Governor's Office <br /> of Planning and Research (OPR) by April 1st of each year to show the status of <br /> implementation of the Housing Element goals, policies, and programs. In addition, a <br /> report on efforts to meet goals of the Growth Management Ordinance is also included. <br /> This annual report will be the seventh submitted for the current (2015-2023) Housing <br /> Element cycle. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends the City Council adopt the resolution accompanying this report that <br /> approves the 2021 Housing Element Annual Progress Report and authorizes submittal of <br /> the report to the HCD and OPR. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> No financial impact. <br />
