5 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> ° I sit CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON <br /> February 15, 2022 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH AIMTD <br /> LLC FOR ANNUAL TRAFFIC COUNT SERVICES NOT TO EXCEED <br /> $150,000 OVER A MAXIMUM TERM OF FIVE YEARS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Traffic Engineering Division collects citywide traffic count data on an annual basis. <br /> This data is collected every April over a two week period at 156 intersections. The data <br /> collected is used to update the traffic models, analyze changes in traffic <br /> volumes/modes, verify the data collected by our traffic signals and provide a baseline <br /> for making decisions on proposed developments and changes in the transportation <br /> network. <br /> Staff solicited proposals for annual traffic count services and received five proposals, <br /> with AimTD LLC submitting the lowest qualified proposal. Staff recommends approval of <br /> the attached agreement with AimTD LLC, for an initial term through June 30, 2023, an <br /> option to extend for three additional one-year terms, and a maximum compensation <br /> amount of $150,000 for the full term of the agreement. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Review the submitted proposals and award the city-wide annual traffic counts <br /> services contract to AimTD LLC. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into the professional services agreement. <br /> 3. Authorize the Director of Community Development to review and approve future <br /> term extensions per the provisions of the agreement. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for annual traffic count services is included in the Traffic Engineering Division <br /> operational budget. There is no new financial impact associated with approval of this <br /> agreement. <br />
