Recommendations for Sites List
While the scoring and ranking is a helpful starting point as to sites likely to offer the best transit
access, and access to services, other factors and policy considerations will come into play in
the site selection process, and which could re -rank or change preference for some sites over
others.
The following list was provided to the Planning Commission to assist in its decision-making of
the inventory; the list is based on the site's ranking and scoring and factors such as property
owner support, feasibility of development due to site characteristics and other factors, relative
neighborhood impact, and overall community support (or lack of opposition). With
consideration of these additional, somewhat more subjective criteria, the following sites appear
to be relatively more preferred or favorable in the overall ranking of sites. Note that the list
below reflects a generalized order of preference, but due to the fact that the factors are more
subjective in nature,_ this should not be considered a strict ranking, and staff acknowledges that
adjustments could be made based on other preferences, considerations or concerns.
Sites within Hacienda:
o Site 29: Oracle
o Site 9: Metro580
o Site 7: Hacienda Terrace
o Site 5: Laborer Council
o Site 8: Muslim Community Center
Site 6: Signature Center
Site 14: St. Elizabeth Seton
Site 2: Stoneridge Mall
Site 25: PUSD District Office
Site 19: Black Avenue
Site 3: PUSD Donlon
Site 16: Tri -Valley Inn
Site 21: Kiewit
Site 24: Sonoma Drive
Site 23: Sunol Blvd
Site 15: Rheem Drive Area
Site 27: PUSD Vineyard
Site 22: Merritt
Site 1: Lester
Site 20: Boulder Court
Site 10: Valley Cares
Site 11: Old Santa Rita Road
Site 4: Owens Drive Sites
Site 12: Pimlico Drive (North)
The above list, comprising the majority of sites, was recommended by the Planning
Commission to be carried forward into the CEQA analysis, meaning the following sites the
Planning Commission recommended be removed from the initial list:
5 See note at end of this section; since this list was formulated, Stanford ValleyCare has advised that they are not interested in
housing on their property.
13 of 18
