Jocelyn Kwong
From: noreply@red istricting.onIine
Sent: Thursday, January 20, 2022 5:28 PM
To: District Elections
Subject: On behalf of My Arkin -Map
Attachments: 1952193f..Shapefile.zip; 1952193f_Maptitude.bak.zip; Districts Table.html
This map tries to follow along with Vice Mayor Arkin s recommendation of respecting school districts then
neighborhoods. First I divided the Elementary school districts into 4 continuous blocks. However the Northern District
composed of Henry P Mohr Fairlands Walnut Grove and Donlon elementary schools made up a significant portion of
Pleasanton s population. The South and West districts of Valley View Vintage Hills Hearst and Lydiksen both did not
represent enough people. I exchanged neighborhoods between the regions from there until I achieved a satisfactory
population distribution while still ensuring districts were continuous.
Message from the Online Redistricting Web Site
